Sweet, Savoury & Very Simple Kitchen Witchery by Heather

This extremely simple recipe was given to me by a very good friend. Both ingredients have health benefits, as well as magical properties.

Molasses contains many vitamins and minerals. One tablespoon — 20 grams (g) of molasses contains the following amounts of a person’s daily values of each nutrient:

manganese: 13%

magnesium: 12%

copper: 11%

vitamin B-6: 8%

selenium: 6%

potassium: 6%

iron: 5%

calcium: 3%

Molasses are also a good source of calcium, iron, selenium, and copper, all of which help maintain bone health, which can also be found in nuts, seeds and dairy products.

Tahini is pulped sesame seeds, which are a source of manganese and copper, they are also a good source of calcium, magnesium, iron, phosphorous, vitamin B1, zinc and dietary fibre. In addition to these important nutrients, sesame seeds contain two unique substances: sesamin and sesamolin. Both substances belong to a group of special beneficial fibres called lignans, which have been shown to have a cholesterol-lowering effect in humans, also helping to prevent high blood pressure and increase vitamin E supplies in animals. Sesamin has also been found to protect the liver from oxidative damage.

This recipe is simply to mix equal amounts of molasses and tahini, I do this in a jar with a spoon.

As you mix, concentrate on your intention for this edible spell in a jar.

Magical properties include –

Prosperity, protection, health, energy, strength, abundance, fertility, strength, endurance or stamina, maintaining healthy relationships.

Spread it on toast, a spoonful on porridge, in sandwiches…experiment to find how you like to use it.

A recording about making this can be found here…
