Every year around this time, one of the things that I like to do is pick Elderflowers to make a delicious cordial with. It conjures up thoughts of sunny days and warm evenings.
Today I took a walk around the hedgerows near to where I live where there is a large Elder that had some beautiful creamy white blossoms. There are many heads of these stunning and tiny flowers and I only pick around 25 bunches which leaves plenty to turn into the lovely elderberries later on in the year.
The recipe I used today is from a blog which was written by my lovely friend Sue Perryman and it can be found here along with other recipes using elderflowers if you'd like to have a go yourself.
