9 Days of Summer Solstice ~ Day Six

Every day for nine days leading up to the Summer Solstice, we will be posting ideas for spells, crafts or just simply ways of connecting with the season. We would love for you to join in and post your thoughts or photos in the comments below..

Woven Sun Wheel

Make a sun wheel from recycled cardboard, wool and ribbons.

Use a plate as is guide and cut out a circle to cardboard, if it has a pattern on that you want to cover, either paint over it or stick on a piece of plain paper.

Cut 12 notches, at regular intervals, around the edge of the circle.

Using sunshine coloured wool, wrap diagonally using the notches to hold the wool in position.

When you are happy with the wool design, fasten off securely. Then at each notch place tie a brightly coloured ribbon.

Hang your finished Woven Sun Wheel where seeing it will bring you joy.
